About Naughtons Hotel
Naughtons Hotel is a pub in a 150-year-old building at 43 Royal Parade, Parkville, under the elm trees opposite the University of Melbourne. Route 19 trams stop out the front, and there are hotel rooms upstairs for guests who want to stay the night. The pub offers three function options. The Back Bar sits at the rear with its own private bar, plenty of natural light and a cast-iron wood heater, while the Private Room has timber-panelled walls and large windows looking into the trees. The Back Bar holds up to 100 standing or 45 for a seated meal, according to the functions page. The Private Room seats up to 30 and has a projector and screen built in, which suits work dinners and presentations, and the entire venue can be booked for weddings and larger celebrations. The kitchen bakes its own bread, makes fresh pasta and cooks over a wood-fired Josper oven. Functions can choose a shared set menu at $60 for two courses or $75 for three, canapé packages from $45 per person for groups of 30 or more, or a grazing table for 25 to 30 guests. Drinks packages run for two, three or four hours and cover wine, tap beer, a non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks. A welcome cocktail and spirits can be added to a package. The events team helps plan the menu and the details of the day. Send an enquiry with your date, time, guest numbers and event type to check availability.
