On Railway Street in Mudgeeraba, Whisky Lounge is a cosy bar run by one family and devoted to whisky. Its long back bar is lined with whiskies from around the world, lit up shelf by shelf. The room mixes timber tables, bar stools and window seats around it. The bar hosts small to mid-sized private and corporate functions, with room for groups of up to 40. Birthdays and engagement parties are regular bookings. Catering is BYO, so you can bring platters, a caterer or a celebration cake of your choosing. That keeps the food entirely in your hands. Grazing boards, a pizza order or a full caterer all work, and the bar team focuses on the drinks. The bar pours whisky, other spirits, cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks. Whisky flights and guided tastings can add a talking point for guests who want to explore. On regular nights the venue runs live music on weekends, monthly whisky masterclasses and an open mic session. A corner stage with microphones and a sound system is set up for performers.
