About Kwila Lodge
Kwila Lodge is a restored Victorian-style estate on Boomerang Road in Mudgeeraba, in the Gold Coast hinterland. Its five acres take in sweeping lawns, a dam, a creek and rainforest, and whoever books it has the grounds to themselves. The Manor is the main room. It has high ceilings, drapery, polished timber floors and preserved heritage windows, and holds 160 seated or 250 standing. Outside, the Creekside Pavilion gives 120 guests a roofed seat in the open air, looking over the water. The Manor Courtyard and the Great Lodge Courtyard are sandstone-gravel areas that suit ceremonies and cocktail hours, the second one sitting beside a large bottle tree. Weddings are the main business, from micro weddings of up to 40 guests to full days of up to 170 seated. The estate also takes corporate events such as retreats, client functions and team celebrations, along with milestone birthdays. Catering is handled in-house, and feasting tables are the speciality, with plated and cocktail-style menus also on offer. Wedding packages combine canapés, the meal, cakeage, a garden bar and a drinks package. Every wedding package includes an event coordinator, a planning meeting and an online planning portal. Tables, chairs, glassware and waitstaff are covered in the full package, and a full wedding day runs through to an 11pm finish.

Pricing
Full wedding hire starts at $15,000 from Monday to Thursday, $16,000 on a Friday and $17,000 on a weekend. Premium menus start at $210 per adult and include canapés, the meal, cakeage and a five-hour drinks package. Rates step up with the year of the event.
A $1,000 surcharge applies on public holidays and for weddings of 140 people or more. A 15% catering surcharge applies on Sundays and public holidays.
Food
Micro weddings have grazing-style canapés served high-tea style plus three roaming canapés. Other events have their own catering packages on enquiry.

How many guests can Kwila Lodge hold?
The Manor seats 160 or takes 250 for a standing celebration. Full wedding packages run from 30 guests up to 170 seated, and the Creekside Pavilion seats 120 for a ceremony.
What does hiring the venue cost?
Micro wedding hire starts at $8,500 for up to 40 people, Monday to Wednesday. Full wedding hire starts at $15,000 from Monday to Thursday, with Friday and weekend dates costing more. Catering is priced on top.
Is the estate exclusive to one event?
Yes. Wedding packages give you sole use of the grounds, for 4 hours with a micro wedding and 10 hours with a full wedding.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Packages are built around the in-house catering team, who serve feasting, plated and cocktail menus. Send an enquiry if you have a particular request, as the venue is open to tailoring its packages.
Does Kwila Lodge host events other than weddings?
Yes. It takes corporate events including retreats, client functions and outdoor team-building, plus milestone birthdays. Packages for these are quoted on enquiry rather than published.
