About RACV Royal Pines Resort
RACV Royal Pines Resort is a large golf resort on Ross Street in Benowa, with views towards the Gold Coast skyline and the hinterland. Its event business covers weddings, conferences and corporate functions, and guests can stay on site. Wedding ceremonies take place in the chapel, which has Italian marble underfoot and stained-glass windows, or on the Garden Steps beneath poinciana trees. The chapel pews seat 48, and it doubles as the wet weather plan for outdoor services. There are three reception spaces. The Royal Poinciana Room seats 60 to 120 and is left plain for your own styling, Videre on level 21 seats 50 to 80 with its own bar, and the Fairway Pavilion marquee on the Podium Lawns seats 120 to 220. Cocktail receptions run to 250 guests in the Royal Poinciana Room and 400 in the Fairway Pavilion. Videre requires a minimum number of accommodation room bookings, so check that when you enquire. For corporate events, the resort has 22 function rooms holding from 8 people up to 1,800 in the Royal Benowa Ballroom, which has a 24-metre LED screen. How many guests can the wedding reception spaces hold?
The Royal Poinciana Room seats 60 to 120 for a plated meal, or up to 100 for a buffet, and holds 250 for cocktails. Videre seats 50 to 80 and holds 120 for cocktails, and the Fairway Pavilion seats 120 to 220 and holds 400 for cocktails.
What is included in the wedding packages?
There are four: Essentials, Deluxe, Platinum and Cocktail. They combine canapes, a meal or food stations, a drinks package of three or five hours, a dance floor, a lectern with microphone, guest parking and a night's accommodation for the couple. The team can also put together a tailored celebration. Prices aren't published, so send an enquiry for a quote.
Where can we hold the ceremony?
Choose the chapel, which seats 48 in pews with extra banquet chairs available, or the Garden Steps with an arbour, a red carpet and 40 white chairs. The chapel is the backup if the weather turns. A coordinator and a rehearsal are part of the ceremony package.
How big can a corporate event be?
Function rooms cater for groups from 8 up to 1,800 people. The Royal Benowa Ballroom divides into Prince, Monarch and Marquis, each holding 400 people at a cocktail event, and Norfolk Hall holds 200.
Is there team building and accommodation for event groups?
Yes. The team can run in-house team building or work with outside partners, and the lawns are available for activities. There are 333 rooms on site, and wedding guests can get special rates.
