About Varsity Lakes Tavern

Varsity Lakes Tavern is a neighbourhood pub on Santa Maria Court in Burleigh Waters, just off Bermuda Street. Inside are a grill-style bistro, a large Sports Bar with screens and an undercover alfresco area. The Garden Terrace is the main private option. It sits beside the Grillhouse, closes off for functions and takes up to 30 people, with the lounge bar close at hand. Larger groups can look at the Sports Bar, which can run as either a private or an open area depending on your event. Within it, the VIP Area is a roped-off section for small get-togethers and work drinks. The function pack also describes a cocktail-style standing setup with indoor and alfresco sections, which suits guests who would rather mingle. Plenty of parking is available on site. Food is ordered as platters and boards, including sliders, bao buns, fish tacos, satay skewers and a seafood tower. Individual street food boxes and a light morning or afternoon tea option are available for smaller budgets. The events team tailors both the space and the packages to your budget, and can arrange an inspection of the rooms. Send an enquiry with your numbers to get a personalised quote.
