About La Calabrese
La Calabrese is a family-run Italian restaurant on the first floor above The Esplanade in Surfers Paradise, looking out to the ocean. Pasta is made by hand each day and pizza dough is fermented before baking for a light, thin base. Functions are built around generous shared banquets, served to the table. The team tailors each menu, from stand-up cocktail food to a long seated meal. For corporate events, there are stand-up cocktail menus, finger food and sit-down options. Hens and wedding groups can choose shared courses, bottomless packages and the exclusive use of an area. Birthday groups can pick a shared feast or an Italian buffet, with entertainment available on request. Dietary needs are handled as part of the menu planning. Weekend lunches suit hens groups and long celebrations with a view, while dinner works for corporate groups after work. The full menu is also served from midday for brunch. Send an enquiry with your date, numbers and the style of event, and the team will put together a package.
