About The Local Tavern
The Local Tavern is a casual pub in the Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre on Surfers Paradise Boulevard. It runs on cold beer, pub meals and live sport, and its functions team handles everything from small drinks to full takeovers. There are three ways to book. Venue Exclusive gives you the whole tavern in private, with room for 120 standing or 80 seated. Half Venue is a semi-private choice for 70 standing or 40 seated, which keeps some of the pub's energy around your group. The Alcove is the smallest option, holding 25 standing or 18 seated for dinners and drinks. Function catering is sold by the platter, with 30 pieces on each. Options include charcuterie, seafood, Aussie party food, wings and wedges, meat grazing, vegetable bites, Asian bites and pizza. You are welcome to bring your own cake with no cakeage charge. Decorations are fine as long as they are not messy and do not bother other patrons. The venue has wheelchair access, and parking is in the shopping centre car park with limited street spots nearby.
