About The Island Gold Coast
The Island Gold Coast is a boutique hotel on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, on the corner of Beach Road. It runs six event spaces across the building, so a small drinks party and a full gala can both find a fit here. The Rooftop is an open-air courtyard with garden beds, umbrellas and views over the skyline and beach. It takes 10 to 500 guests, and it divides into named areas such as the Secret Garden, the Skyline Terrace and the Hideaway. The Penthouse fills the top floor, with an Ocean View Room, a Mountain View Room and a terrace bar with a retractable roof. It seats 144 or holds 350 for cocktails. The Glasshouse on the ground level is the big room of the group, with glass walls, high ceilings and an LED screen, seating 350 or holding 780 for cocktails. Duke's Parlour is a cocktail lounge with a private entry and a stage for up to 350, while the Pool Deck suits 120 for a relaxed afternoon. Catering runs from platters and canapés to plated menus, share-style dining and live stations such as paella and chilled seafood. Canapé packages start at $44 per person, and drinks packages run for two to six hours. Guests can also stay on site in the hotel. Which spaces can we choose from?
There are six. Rooftop, Penthouse, Glasshouse and Duke's Parlour are the bigger rooms, the Pool Deck suits smaller parties, and Goldie's is the bar and bistro for groups of 10 or more.
How does a Rooftop booking work?
Function bookings get their own area of the Rooftop, with a minimum spend per person that goes entirely towards food and drink. Areas range from the Alcoves, at up to 20 guests, to the Hideaway, at up to 120.
Are there hens and bucks packages?
Yes. Both cost $99 per person for 10 guests or more, with an allocated Rooftop space for up to four hours, shared food and a three-hour drinks package. A personalised event sign is included.
What drinks packages are there?
Function packages run for two to six hours, with the entry option at $44 per person for two hours. Non-alcoholic packages start at $19 per person for two hours.
What audio-visual gear is available?
The Glasshouse has an 11-by-3-metre LED screen and built-in speakers, and scalable staging and a dance floor are available. The Penthouse rooms have a projector, screen and sound system, and extra charges apply to this equipment.
