About The Craft Parlour
The Craft Parlour is a Gold Coast craft studio on West Burleigh Road in Burleigh Heads, sitting at the rear of the building behind a pet clinic. It runs public workshops through the week and hands the whole room over to private groups for parties. These sessions are about making things, not only painting. A group chooses one craft, such as canvas painting, ceramics, flower crowns, beading, kokedama, candle making or decoupage, and a host guides everyone through it step by step. Beginners are the expected crowd, so nobody needs a steady hand or any past experience. Studio parties usually last two hours, and longer can be arranged by asking. The minimum is 10 guests, dropping to 8 from Monday to Thursday, and tables seat up to 35 in comfort. Guests have the space to themselves, with room to spread out and hang their own decorations. Drinks and food are entirely BYO, which keeps the party easy to shape around the group. Glasses and small plates are supplied, the team can suggest caterers, and a delivery can come straight to the door. Hens parties, bridal showers, baby showers, adult birthdays, work teams and kids' and teens' parties each have their own party option. Everyone takes home what they make, although clay needs about five to six weeks for firing before collection. Send an enquiry with your date, numbers and preferred craft to get package options.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a private craft party at The Craft Parlour cost?
Adult parties start from $65 per person and kids' and teens' parties from $50 per person. The final figure depends on which craft the group picks.
How many guests do we need for a studio party?
The studio asks for at least 10 guests, or at least 8 from Monday to Thursday. Its tables seat up to 35 people comfortably.
Can we bring food and alcohol to the party?
Yes. Private parties are always BYO for food, soft drinks and alcohol, with glasses and small plates supplied. The team can recommend caterers, and food delivery to the door is fine.
When do we get our finished pieces?
Most crafts go home with you on the day. Clay has to be fired, which takes about five to six weeks and is covered in the price, and the studio makes contact when it is ready to collect.
Where do we park at the Burleigh Heads studio?
Onsite spaces are limited on weekdays, though they usually free up after 6pm, on Saturday afternoons and on Sundays. Free untimed street parking is nearby, and there is a council car park a little further along West Burleigh Road.
