About The Sweet Fine Artist Studio
The Sweet Fine Artist Studio was opened by artist Maree Quinn as a place where anyone can work in a real art studio. The Karen Avenue space in Mermaid Beach is part studio, part gallery and part events room, with her own pieces around the walls. A private group can paint, sculpt clay, try life drawing, cut lino prints or work with texture, and other ideas can be raised with the team. An instructor leads the session and all materials are provided, so nobody needs experience. Each guest leaves with their own work. Hens parties can paint a bottle of bubbles, while corporate groups can take on larger shared canvases as well as individual projects. Sessions can also be tailored with colour palettes and themed designs. Public classes on the calendar run for about two and a half hours, which gives a good sense of the format. Studio bookings are BYO for food and drink, including your own plates, cutlery and serviettes. The studio has wine glasses, a fridge and a bathroom. Partner options include grazing platters, event sign hire and a photographer. The studio setup is also transportable, so the team can run the party at a home or venue on the Gold Coast. A small deposit holds the date, with the balance due 7 to 10 days before. Send an enquiry to ask about private package options.
