About Tamborine Mountain Distillery

Tamborine Mountain Distillery is a long-running producer of liqueurs and spirits, from gin and rum to schnapps, in the Gold Coast hinterland. Its site brings together a production floor, a museum, a tasting room and a cocktail bar. The Distillery Tour and Tasting takes about 60 minutes. A guide walks your group through the working distillery and museum, then pours four samples from a collection of more than 80 flavours. Non-drinkers can do the full tour and finish with a soft drink, and a cheese board can be added when booking. The hands-on classes cover cocktails, liqueur making and spirit making. They are designed for beginners and suit friends and groups looking for something to do together on the mountain. Alcohol-based classes are for guests aged 18 and over, and many send you home with something you made. For a private gathering, there are three spaces. The Cocktail Bar seats a party of 15, the Mezzanine takes 20, and the Main Tasting Room fits 100 for after-hours events. The distillery names birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, Christmas parties and business gatherings among the occasions it hosts. Catering can come from the house cocktail and cheese list or from your own kitchen, though plates and cutlery aren't supplied. Custom-labelled test tubes and bottles can be pre-ordered as favours. Send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers.
