About Witches Falls Winery
Witches Falls Winery is a working winery and cellar door on Tamborine Mountain, in the Gold Coast hinterland. A brick lane under the trees leads up to the gardens and a small estate vineyard. Most of the seating is outside, with a handful of small indoor tables close to the fireplace for cooler months. The tasting runs for at least 60 minutes. You choose from set flights, and a host takes the table through each pour with notes on what is in the glass. A separate cider flight is available, and nobody in the group has to take part, since only those tasting are charged. Groups of up to 12 can book online, while parties of 13 or more should send an enquiry so the team can arrange seating. There is no restaurant, so food comes from the produce list of local cheeses, pâtés and relishes, and birthday cakes are the one outside food allowed. Private functions are not offered, so plan on sharing the grounds with other guests, and feel free to bring a picnic rug for lingering by the vines once your tasting wraps up.

Frequently asked questions
How big a group can we bring to Witches Falls Winery?
Up to 12 people can book online. Parties of 13 or more need to arrange their table directly with the team, so send an enquiry with your numbers.
Does everyone have to do the wine tasting?
No. Only guests who choose a flight are charged for one, and everyone else can order wine by the glass or bottle, or a craft soft drink. Include non-drinkers and children in your booking numbers.
Can we bring a birthday cake or our own food?
Outside food is not allowed, except for birthday cakes. If you bring a cake, you will need your own candles, plates, serviettes and cutlery, as none are supplied and there is no fridge space.
Can we hire the winery for a private function?
Private functions are not available, because the venue is mainly outdoors with no wet weather backup. Groups book tables for a tasting alongside other guests instead.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Rain limits the seating as most tables are outdoors. The team tries to fit existing bookings into the small undercover area and will be in touch if there is a problem.
