About Rani Cruises
The Rani has been working Gold Coast waters since 1987, and she leans into it. Bright nautical styling with a hint of pirate sets the tone, and the locally owned business has run the boat as a dedicated party vessel for well over a decade. Groups of 10 to 65 can charter her privately for day or night cruises, usually three hours or more on the Broadwater. There is space both inside and out, a sound system you can connect to, a TV and microphone, and a DJ setup for larger events. Drinks come from the fully stocked licensed bar, as BYO alcohol is not allowed. Food is more flexible: choose grazing platters, sushi, nibbles or a BBQ, step up to a chef and waitstaff through an outside caterer, or talk to the crew about bringing your own food or caterer. The boat's bread and butter is bucks and hens parties, alongside birthdays, engagements and work functions. Christmas cruises come with ready-made packages, and couples can have a ceremony on board with their own celebrant or arrive for the party afterwards. How many guests can the Rani take?
The boat suits groups from about 10 people up to 65 guests, with indoor and outdoor areas so a smaller party does not feel lost and a bigger one still has room.
Can we bring our own alcohol on board?
No. The Rani does not allow BYO drinks, and everything is served from the licensed bar on board. Bar tabs feature in several packages, and the crew may be able to order in a specific product.
Can we bring our own food or caterer?
Yes, with some conditions. BYO food is allowed after a chat with the crew, who may also cook or prepare it. An outside caterer is welcome once the facilities have been discussed.
Can we get married on the boat?
Yes. Couples have held ceremonies on board with their own celebrant, while others marry elsewhere and arrive for the reception. Wedding packages range from a simple cruise to an onboard chef.
Where does the Rani pick up from?
The main boarding point is Marina Mirage at Main Beach, and one page of the site also mentions Sanctuary Cove. Confirm the pick-up for your date when you enquire.
