About Gold Coast Boat Charters
Gold Coast Boat Charters puts two party catamarans on the water from Surfers Paradise, and each is hired privately for 36 passengers plus crew. They have quite different personalities, so it is worth comparing them before you book a date. Yolo is the custom-built one, made for playing in the water. At the front sits a heated eight-person spa with lights and bubbles, refilled with fresh water for each charter. At the back is a hydraulic swim platform, with a floating mat, swim-up bar seats, launch pads and a warm freshwater shower. Entourage is the more conventional party boat at 13.7 metres, with an air-conditioned and heated saloon that makes it a safer pick for cooler nights. Both have two bathrooms and a sound system with Bluetooth and a DJ connection. The bars are licensed, so alcohol cannot be brought aboard, although your own food is allowed. Catering can also be arranged from a menu when you book. Extras include a DJ with decks at $150 an hour, and the spa is $100 a charter. Hosts can also arrange waiting staff for hens and bucks groups. Charters start at three hours and go wherever suits: along the canals, across the Broadwater or out to Wave Break Island. Groups are welcome to decorate, and corporate clients can ask about branding, audio-visual gear and internet access. For bigger crowds, the operator can raft both catamarans together for up to 70 guests. Birthdays, weddings, team days and hens and bucks parties are all on its list. Families are welcome too, with children supervised around the swim platform.

Can we bring our own alcohol on board?
No, both boats have a licensed bar so BYO alcohol is not allowed. Your own food is fine, and catering can be arranged when you make the booking.
How long is the shortest charter?
Private charters have a three-hour minimum. Departure times vary with the booking, so discuss your preferred time with the team when you send an enquiry.
What does the heated spa on Yolo cost?
The eight-person spa is an optional extra at $100 per charter. It can be heated on cold days or kept cool on hot ones, and is refilled with fresh water each time.
Are children allowed on the catamarans?
Yes, cruises are family friendly, but children need supervision for the whole trip and especially around the swimming platform, which is used on day cruises.
