About Gold Coast Sailing Charters
Gold Coast Sailing Charters is run by skippers who own the two boats at the heart of the business. Serrano is a sailing catamaran for up to 20 guests, and Nevaeh is a 10-metre catamaran for up to 30. Every booking is private, so the group has the whole boat, a crew to run it and a say in how the day goes. Most groups bring their own food and drinks. The catamaran charters supply a BBQ, plates and cutlery, an esky with ice, a Bluetooth sound system, two stand-up paddleboards and a large float mat. Crew will often take over the cooking, leaving guests free to swim or sit in the sun. The usual playground is the Broadwater, with anchor stops around the Spit and Wave Break Island. Hens and bucks parties are the regular trade, and the team also takes birthdays, corporate events, family reunions and surprise parties. A morning at anchor with paddleboards suits one group, while another wants the music up and a dance on the deck. Groups too big for the catamarans have other options. The business also offers motor yachts owned by others, from a 25-guest cruiser up to vessels licensed for 76, and some carry a full bar and a commercial kitchen. Send an enquiry with your date and guest numbers and the team will suggest the right boat.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Gold Coast Sailing Charters take?
Serrano carries up to 20 guests and Nevaeh up to 30. Larger groups can be placed on partner motor yachts, which go up to 76 guests.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, the two catamarans run on a BYO basis for both food and drinks. An esky with ice, a BBQ, plates and cutlery are supplied at no extra cost.
Where do charters leave from?
Serrano boards at Marine Parade in Southport. Partner yachts can board elsewhere, so confirm the meeting point for your boat when you send an enquiry.
Is there time to swim during a charter?
Yes. Boats anchor at sheltered spots on the Broadwater such as the Spit and Wave Break Island, and the paddleboards and float mat come out at the stop.
What is the shortest charter we can book?
Serrano has a three-hour minimum, and extra hours can be added. Six-hour bookings drop to a lower hourly rate, which helps groups wanting a full day.
