About Gold Coaster Catamaran Charters
Built to order as a sailing catamaran, the Gold Coaster goes out as a private charter, so the boat holds only your group of up to 12 guests. It is run by its owners: Captain Bob, who has skippered party boats on these waters since the 1990s, and Monica, a hostess with a long hospitality background. The layout suits a group that wants to move around. There is a foredeck and an aft deck for dancing or sightseeing, two double beanbags up front, and a dining area with views all round for when the food comes out. Covered space inside means a drizzly patch need not end the party. Bluetooth speakers run your playlist, or you can pick from the crew's collection. Every charter comes with a large grazing board, plates, cutlery and shatterproof glasses, plus an esky with ice for the food and drinks you bring. Birthday groups also get a cake, carried up from the galley with a lit sparkler and a banner. Most trips stop for a swim or a walk on a sandbank island, and beach games, a little fishing or a turn at the helm can be worked in on request. The site names hens parties, birthdays, bucks cruises, Christmas parties and work groups, and sunset cruises for couples are on offer too. Three hours is the shortest booking, boarding at 8 am, noon or 4 pm unless you arrange other times. Send an enquiry with your date and numbers to plan the day.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests fit on the Gold Coaster?
Twelve is the limit, and the charter is private, so nobody outside your group comes aboard. The two crew are the owners, who skipper and host.
What is included in the hourly rate?
The rate covers the whole boat and crew, a large grazing board, an esky with ice, spring water, plates, cutlery and shatterproof glasses. Birthday charters add a cake with sparkler and banner.
Can we bring our own alcohol and food?
Yes, drinks are BYO and go into the large iced esky on board. Extra food is welcome too, and serving platters and boards are supplied, so you only need to bring what you want to eat and drink.
Where do we board and where does the boat go?
Groups board from the pontoon opposite the Aqua Apartments precinct on Marine Parade at Labrador. From there the catamaran stays on the calm Gold Coast Broadwater, with stops at its sandbank islands.
How long does a charter run, and is there a deposit?
Three hours is the minimum, with hours customised beyond that. One hour's charge secures the date, and the operator's policy is to refund that deposit in full if you need to cancel.

Amazing cruise with Bob & Monika. They were both super accomodating and we had the best time swimming, dancing & lunch on the boat. Highly recommend Bob’s charter
