About Inspiration Cruises
Inspiration Cruises runs one boat: Inspiration, a 51ft Sealine T51 motor yacht based around Surfers Paradise. It is hired out whole, so nobody outside your guest list is on board, and it takes up to 25 people. The crew handle the driving and the safety side while the group gets on with the party. The yacht mixes open-air decks with a timber-lined lounge inside, which helps when some guests want sun and others want shade. There are bathrooms and Wi-Fi on board, and anyone can link a phone to the sound system. Birthdays, hens and bucks parties, Christmas functions, corporate cruises, weddings and romantic trips are all sold as their own cruise types. The setup is BYO. You bring the food and drinks; the boat provides a large esky, ice, plates, cups, plastic flutes and tumblers. Red wine stays ashore, and shoes must be non-marking or white-soled. If nobody wants to organise the food, optional catering can be arranged for an extra charge through a local grazing business. Routes depend on time and conditions. A shorter hire suits the river and the high-rise views, while longer hires can reach the Broadwater and anchor spots such as Tipplers. Book at least three hours if a swim is on the list, because that allows for a stop with the floating mat and paddleboard. The price is for the whole yacht rather than per ticket, so splitting the total across the group is straightforward.

What does Inspiration cost to hire?
The standard rate is $690 an hour with GST and the fuel levy included, and the shortest booking is two hours, which comes to $1,380 for the whole yacht.
How many people can come aboard Inspiration?
The limit is 25 guests. Count everyone in that number, including children and the guest of honour, and adults remain responsible for supervising any minors.
Can we bring our own food and alcohol?
Yes, BYO food and drinks are fine apart from red wine, which is not allowed on board. An esky, ice, plates, cups and plastic drinkware are supplied, and catering can be added separately.
Where does the group get on the yacht?
Everyone steps aboard from the public pontoon, 73 Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise, and are asked to turn up about 10 minutes ahead of the departure time.
Is there time for a swim during the cruise?
Choose three hours or more if you want one. The floating mat and paddleboard are included when the weather, the water and the skipper all allow it.
