About Alla Darkina Photography
Alla Darkina is a newborn, family and party photographer based in Kellyville in the Hills District, with more than fifteen years behind the camera and a studio at 7 John Albert Close. Her party work is documentary in style. She usually meets the family about thirty minutes before the event starts so she can take a few family photographs while the children are still fresh, then photographs the celebration as it unfolds. Event coverage is a single two-hour package at your home or venue and covers kids' birthday parties, baby showers, christenings and baptisms. It returns more than 100 edited high-resolution images plus low-resolution copies for sharing, and travel is included within 25km of Kellyville. The studio side of the business handles first birthdays: a cake smash session runs in three parts, starting with portraits on the styled setup, then the cake itself, then a bath and bubbles, with the cake, the setup and an outfit all provided. Themed setups take planning, so she asks for at least two to three weeks' notice on cake smashes, and a booking fee holds the date and comes off the final payment. Images are ready to view about a week after the shoot, when you choose your photographs and any prints at an ordering appointment, with downloads following within ten days of that selection. She also shoots maternity, newborn, milestone, family and multi-generational sessions, and sells albums, fine art prints, canvases, wood prints and framed prints on top of any package.

What does the party photography package include?
The event package is $800 for two hours of documentary-style photography at your home or venue. It covers more than 100 edited high-resolution images, low-resolution copies for social media, and travel within 25km of Kellyville. Extra hours are $100 each and travel beyond 25km adds $25 per further 25km.
How far ahead should we book?
Book as early as you can. Themed cake smash setups need at least two to three weeks' notice because of the planning involved, and a non-refundable $150 booking fee secures your date and is credited towards the final payment.
How much is a cake smash session?
The basic cake smash is $650 and the deluxe version is $750. Both are a one-hour studio session with a six-inch cake, a fully styled setup and an outfit from the studio wardrobe. The basic package returns 30 hand-edited images and the deluxe 40, plus a birthday collage.
Do you travel to our house or venue?
Yes. Birthday party, baby shower and christening sessions are shot wherever you are holding them, with travel included within 25km of the Kellyville studio and $25 for each additional 25km. Cake smash, milestone and newborn sessions are held in the studio at Kellyville.
When do we get the photos?
Your images are ready to view about a week after the session. You choose your favourites and any print products at an ordering appointment, and the final gallery is available to download within ten days of that selection. Prints and albums take one to four weeks.
