Chandeliers To Die For has been hiring out statement lighting for around 18 years, working from a studio and showroom in Canterbury in Sydney's inner south-west. The stock runs to more than 500 chandeliers and about 100 candelabras, grouped into named series: the Katerina Maria Theresa pieces from a small 5-globe up to a 36-globe centrepiece, the tiered Art Deco Gatsby waterfalls, and larger one-offs such as the Queen Elizabeth and the Crown. Pieces are sourced, restored or designed specifically for the collection. Beyond single chandeliers, the team builds ceiling installations to suit the room: fairy-light canopies above a dance floor or head table, crystal and silk tassel drops, and ribbon crystal ceilings. Floor and table candelabras add height down long tables, and a pendant and lamp-shade range is on the way. The enquiry form covers private parties, birthdays and engagements as well as weddings, galas and film work, and candelabra groupings or pendant clusters are a natural fit for a milestone birthday or cocktail party. Each booking starts with a free consultation and then a lighting plan drawn up for your venue. Their crew delivers, rigs, styles and removes the pieces, and they supply a licensed rigger; if the venue uses its own riggers, one of their team must be on site. They cover all Sydney suburbs and travel to the Hunter Valley and interstate. Allow four to six weeks for a private event and three to twelve months for a wedding, and arrange a showroom visit if you want to see pieces in person.

How much does chandelier hire cost?
As a rough guide, a chandelier runs roughly $500 to $1,000-plus a piece, plus GST, with bigger pieces at the top end, and candelabras are around $30 to $35 each. Standard installation is $480 plus GST for up to six chandeliers, and delivery starts at $210 depending on distance.
What does the installation include?
Delivery, rigging, styling on the day and removal after the event. Chandeliers hang from sealed-link chain with rated shackles or from steel wire with gripples, fitted by their own licensed rigger. Running power, dimmers and ruching are extra and appear on the quote where needed.
How far ahead should I book?
For private parties and corporate events, give at least four to six weeks. Weddings and large events are usually booked three to twelve months out, because popular Sydney dates go early.
Can I see the chandeliers before booking?
Yes. The showroom is at 186-192 Canterbury Road, Canterbury, open 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays. Get in touch first to arrange a viewing.
What happens if we cancel?
The deposit is kept. Any other payments are refundable in full until 12 weeks before the event date.
