Scram's themes: The Wizard Chambers and Toy Rescue for families, F.E.A.R. for the brave, and the R18+ comedy The Hangover, aimed squarely at bucks nights and hens nights.
Labyrinth's themes: Outbreak, Insane Asylum, Mexican Cartel, Game Night, CirCurse and Zen. Two of them, Outbreak and CirCurse, carry a hard rating.
Big groups: roughly 50 players can begin together at Labyrinth, while Scram offers a group rate from 20 players.
Booking style: Scram plans birthdays and big groups with a manager by phone or email, while Labyrinth lets you adjust numbers on the day.
Price: each lists pricing from $50 per person.

Trains stop at Parramatta station, light rail stops serve the centre, and paid parking is plentiful. Labyrinth has no car park of its own. Its suggestions for drivers: the three-hour spaces opposite at Entrada/Coles (the entrance is on Ross Street), kerbside spots along Sorrell Street and Palmer Street, or the Riverbank car park run by the council off Phillip Street.

Labyrinth runs Christmas parties and team building by booking several rooms at the same start time.

What if people drop out of our Labyrinth booking?

Labyrinth takes a deposit per room upfront and lets you change numbers on the day, so no-shows don't cost you. Plan to get there a quarter of an hour ahead to watch the induction and sign waivers.

Can 40 people play at the same time in Parramatta?

Yes. Labyrinth can get roughly 50 players under way in a single slot across its six rooms, and Scram puts bigger parties into several rooms running side by side.

Who started Scram?

Daniel, Jessica and Walid founded Scram in 2016 while working as McDonald's managers, sketching their first game on a corkboard. It opened in 2017 and two of its four venues are in Parramatta.
