About Ace American Convertibles
Ace American Convertibles started in 2002, when Diane and Alan turned the two 1959 Cadillac convertibles from their own wedding into a hire business. A third convertible followed, giving Sydney a rare matched set of white 1959 Cadillacs, and the business still runs from its showroom in Berkshire Park in north-west Sydney. The three convertibles have the original bench seats, so each takes five passengers, three in the back and two up front beside the driver, trimmed in white and glittery silver with white hoods for bad weather. The fourth car is a 1959 Cadillac stretched to just over nine metres, fitted inside like a modern limousine with air conditioning, two LCD screens, a bar, a moon roof, a fibre-optic ceiling, a jukebox and lighting that follows the music. It seats up to 10 in the rear, so a large bridal party can travel together behind the convertibles. Diane and Alan drive their own bookings. Diane often drives the bride, and the service includes a red carpet, white ribbons, large black umbrellas, water sprays to keep the flowers fresh, and, on bookings of three hours or more, champagne, soft drinks and appetisers served at the photo location. The Cadillacs also go to school formals, getaways after the reception, TV and fashion shoots, and shopping-centre Christmas visits. Weddings have a three-hour minimum, while formals and getaways are shorter transfers of about an hour. Rates are quoted to suit the day and season, with better deals on Fridays, Sundays and in the cooler months. A 30 percent deposit secures the cars and the balance is due two weeks before. The showroom is open for viewings by appointment.

How many people fit in the Cadillacs?
Each 1959 Cadillac convertible has bench seats for five passengers, three in the back and two in the front. The 1959 Cadillac super-stretch limousine seats up to 10 in the rear, which suits a large bridal party.
What is the minimum booking for a wedding?
Wedding packages run for at least three hours, counted from the first pick-up to arrival at the reception. Direct transfers, school formals and getaway services are shorter bookings of about an hour.
What is included?

Where do you travel?
All Sydney suburbs, from the Hawkesbury and Penrith to the North Shore and Sutherland Shire, with no charge for travel from the Berkshire Park base. The cars will also go to Macarthur and Wollongong.
How do we book and pay?
Send the date, passenger numbers and hours for a quote. A 30 percent deposit secures the cars, the balance is due two weeks before, and part payments along the way are welcome. The showroom is open for viewings by appointment.
