Cherry's Memories is an event styling and decor business based at Oakville, in Sydney's Hawkesbury, run by a husband-and-wife team with an assistant. The founder trained and worked as a chartered accountant before starting an online cake business in 2009, and the decor side grew out of that. The work now covers weddings, proposals, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, baby showers and private gatherings, with a particular strength in Indian weddings — mandaps, mehendi and haldi ceremonies, sangeet stage decor and reception setups across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali traditions. For parties rather than weddings, the team builds balloon decor — helium, confetti and tassel balloons, wall displays and arches — along with custom banners printed with a name and age, themed backdrops keyed to the guest of honour, and lighting in traditional LED or modern neon. Themed setups for children are built around characters and colour schemes chosen with the parents. The business also bakes custom cakes, supplies hampers and return favours, and hires out its props and backdrops. Packages are grouped as Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and themed options, each bundling styling, decor setup, prop rental and add-ons. Setups are installed at your venue or at home, so a lounge room or backyard can be turned over without you handling the build. The business is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and takes consultations through an online booking page; weekend appointments are arranged by phone. No. Weddings and Indian wedding ceremonies are the largest part of the business, but they also style proposals, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays for adults and children, baby showers and private gatherings at home.
How much does it cost?
