About Balloon Elegance Sydney
Balloon Elegance was founded by Maureen Egan about 16 years ago and works from Thornleigh in Sydney's north. Maureen has been president of the Balloon Artists and Suppliers Association of NSW and now holds the presidency of the national body, and the business focuses on designing, building and installing balloon decor rather than selling balloons over the counter. It covers all of Sydney, seven days a week. The work splits into two styles. Classic decor includes balloon arches, columns, table centrepieces, sculptures, names and numbers, ceiling balloons, helium bouquets and LED balloons that glow on the tables. Organic decor covers freeform garlands, half arches, balloon walls and ceilings, mosaics, name and number garlands and media-wall backdrops. Mesh frames, plinths and other props are available to hire. For corporate clients they do trade shows, retail promotions, product launches and gala dinners, custom print logos on balloons from 12 to 150 centimetres, and can coordinate installs in other states through a national network of decorators. They deliver and set up the decor, offer free on-site consultations, and promise setups are finished well before the function starts, with table decor kept low enough not to block guests' view across the table. Helium bouquets can be delivered Monday to Friday, with same-day delivery for orders placed before 10.30am. Enquiries are by phone or email only, not text, and they usually reply within 24 to 48 hours. Used balloons, including foil, can be recycled through their partnership with Balloon Recycling Australia.
