About Spotlight Letters

Spotlight Letters is run by Roger and Marie from Kellyville in Sydney's north-west. The business began in 2019, when they built an oversized illuminated 21 for their daughter's party and guests kept asking where it came from. Roger and Marie's love of carpentry shows in the stock: every letter and number is made by hand in timber, painted, fitted with globes, and tested and tagged by an electrician. There are three main sizes. Letters come in 60cm and 1m heights, and numbers in 60cm and 1.2m, so you can spell a name, an age, a short word like LOVE, or a year for a graduation. Hire runs from $60 per 60cm character, $100 per 1m letter and $110 per 1.2m number. There are also neon signs, such as a Twenty One neon for $50, set packages for proposals and school graduations, and an optional event photographer from $200 for an hour. Corporate clients can have letters painted to match their brand, which takes around four to six weeks, and coloured globes can be ordered with a lead time of four to eight weeks. The hire covers your event for up to 24 hours, and customers don't collect the letters themselves: the team delivers, sets up and packs down, and can deal directly with your venue or planner. Delivery is quoted by location, with Kellyville's surrounds covered in the hire fee. The letters need mains power and should be kept out of rain. Past jobs include 18ths and 40ths, gender reveals, school formals, club events at Penrith Panthers and training graduations for KFC and McDonald's.
