Go Karts Eastern Suburbs

Go-karting in the Eastern Suburbs means heading to the western edge of the region. The area spans Bondi, North Bondi, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Moore Park and surrounds, and Moore Park is the part closest to the CBD, which makes it a practical meeting point for groups coming from both the beaches and the city. Hyper Karting at the Entertainment Quarter is the go-kart venue on Party Hero for the Eastern Suburbs so far. It runs indoors, so the weather is not a factor, and the main track layout changes into three different configurations each week.

What groups should know about karting in the east:

• Getting there: buses run widely across the Eastern Suburbs and light rail runs along Anzac Parade to Moore Park. Drivers can use the Wilson car park beneath Hyper Karting, which is on Level 5.
• The experience: races last about 10 minutes, with up to 24 karts on the main track, and the full experience including briefing takes around 20 minutes.
• Group size: bucks, hens and birthday packages cater for up to 14 or up to 28 people, and corporate groups of 20 to 500 can take over the whole venue.
• Booking lead time: groups under 25 can book straight online, while bigger groups and catered events go through the events team, so leave time for that conversation.
• Food and drinks: trackside catering offers pizza or burgers, sandwiches, fruit, deli meats and cheese platters, with a non-alcoholic drinks package. Pizza and burgers are not offered in the morning.

Prices start from $19 per person. The main track takes drivers 15 and over and at least 140cm tall, with intermediate, junior and mini tracks on weekends, so younger family members have tracks of their own. Drivers need a zero blood alcohol reading, enclosed shoes, and photo ID on their first visit.
