About The Paella Catering
The Paella Catering is a family business started by chef Aridani Navarro, who began delivering meals to corporate events and parties in 2012 and switched to cooking paella at the event the following year. The format stuck: a chef sets up a mobile kitchen at your venue and cooks paella in giant pans in front of the guests, then serves it straight from the pan. They are best known on the Northern Beaches but cater all over Sydney. The menu has seven paellas: a vegetarian and vegan version, the chicken-and-chorizo Valenciana, a mixed seafood paella, the Campesina with chicken and prawns, and the Premium, Gold and Andaluza, which combine seafood, chorizo and chicken. Alongside them are Spanish tapas such as tortilla, garlic prawns, octopus, chorizo in white wine, garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas and Manchego with quince, plus salads, antipasto platters, desserts like creme catalana and chocolate mousse, and sangria with a non-alcoholic option. Packages are built around group size: La Fiesta for 25 to 40 people, Alegria from 40, El Fieston for 40 and up, La Boda for weddings, and a weekday corporate lunch package. Every package includes the chef, the mobile kitchen and paella equipment, and eco-friendly plates, bamboo cutlery and napkins. The chefs arrive two hours before serving, need about two to four square metres, and bring everything they cook with, so no power point or kitchen is required. Tables, chairs, drinks and cover from rain are not included, though a gazebo, lighting, wait staff or a Spanish guitarist and singer can be arranged in advance. A 25 per cent deposit secures the date, and a distance charge applies to every location.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in a paella package?
Every package includes the chef's time, the mobile kitchen and paella equipment, and eco-friendly plates, bamboo cutlery and napkins. Drinks, tables and chairs are not included, but tapas, desserts, sangria and wait staff can be added.
How many guests do they cater for?
The smallest package, La Fiesta, suits 25 to 40 people. Alegria starts at 40 guests and El Fieston is for groups of 40 and more, and there is a separate wedding package for larger receptions.
What do I need to provide at the venue?
Very little. The chef needs about two to four square metres, and cooking does not use power or your kitchen. It helps to have a covered area in case of rain, and a gazebo or lighting can be arranged if booked in advance.
How much does it cost?
Prices are not published. Quotes depend on the package, guest numbers and location, and a distance charge applies to all venues. A 25 per cent deposit, which is non-refundable, holds the date.
Can they cater at a beach, park or on a boat?
Yes. They cook indoors and outdoors, including at beaches, parks, clubs and on boats. For public places, the event organiser needs to get council permission first.
