About Forte Catering & Events
Forte Catering & Events has been catering in Sydney for more than 20 years from its head office in Surry Hills. It holds a Gold Licence from Restaurant & Catering Australia and has won a string of Restaurant & Catering awards, including Best Wedding Caterer in 2013 and 2017 and Best National Events Caterer in 2012. Executive chef Anthony Sullivan, who has 12 NSW RCA awards of his own, writes the menus around seasonal, locally sourced produce, and staffing comes through sister company Nosh Hospitality Personnel. The menu styles cover most kinds of event. There are roaming canapes, grazing tables, food stations such as yum cha, paella and oysters, dessert stations, buffets and formal plated dinners with entree, main and dessert, and packages can mix several of these. Drinks come from boutique wine merchants, and bar managers and mixologists can put together a cocktail list. Forte also handles theming, with period furniture, decorations and entertainment on offer. Weddings come with a dedicated coordinator and access to their stylists. Forte works for corporate clients from boardroom lunches to conferences of 500 in a day, and runs launches, gala dinners, staff awards and Christmas parties. On the private side it caters parties at home, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, and Year 10 and Year 12 school formals. Most events are costed on at least 80 guests, but smaller ones can still go ahead with a surcharge. Forte has relationships with venues such as Barangaroo Reserve and Carriageworks, and also runs events at Belgenny Farm in Camden, where the Granary seats 200 or holds 300 for cocktails.
