About Catering Project
Catering Project started in 2015 and now cooks out of a HACCP-certified production kitchen in Glebe with a team of more than 100 chefs and hospitality staff. It is both a delivered catering business and an events caterer: the online store sells platters, grazing boxes, individually packed meals, cakes and drinks for next-day delivery, while the events side handles staffed functions. It also operates in Melbourne and Brisbane and is part of the J&CO Group, and holds Gold Licence accreditation alongside its HACCP certification. The delivered range is organised by time of day and by occasion, covering breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, celebration cakes and beverages, plus dedicated kids party and Christmas ranges. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and halal items are listed as their own categories rather than buried in the menu. For events, the formats are cocktail and canapé, plated sit-down, grazing, boardroom, conferencing and private dining. Canapé and cocktail packages let you choose your own warm, cold, sweet and substantial pieces, and include a standard beverage package, waitstaff and the equipment needed to run the event. Ordering is done through the website 24 hours a day, or by written quote for events. The minimum spend is $100 plus GST per delivery Monday to Saturday and $250 plus GST on Sunday, before delivery fees. Cut-off is 5pm the day before on weekdays and 3pm on weekends, late orders attract a 10 per cent surcharge, and deliveries run to a one-hour window. Pick-ups are not offered. Cancellations inside 24 hours are not refunded.
