About 3 Way Split
3 Way Split is a Sydney cover band built around frontman and guitarist Chris and drummer and vocalist Jana. It started as a trio and has grown into a band that can be booked in almost any size. The pitch is simple: polished background music while guests eat and mingle, then a proper party once the speeches are done. The set list covers current chart hits, golden oldies, classic rock and dance medleys that mix new songs with old ones, so all ages end up on the floor. They're not an agency, and the musicians you deal with when booking are the ones who play on the night. Formats run from a solo act (Chris on acoustic guitar and vocals, using a loop pedal to layer bass, guitar and beats) to a duo with live drums and shared male and female vocals, the popular three-piece of drums, bass and guitar, and four and five-piece line-ups with keys and lead guitar. The trio can play as an intimate acoustic show or a full electric rock show. A DJ and MC can be added through a partner supplier. The solo act suits ceremonies, canapés and dinner, and is generally not available on Friday or Saturday nights unless it comes before a band set. Every package includes PA, lighting, a wireless mic for speeches and a curated playlist for the breaks. The band arrives early, sets up and sound checks before guests arrive, and works with your MC or coordinator on timings. The duo's drums can be turned down for venues with noise limits and for house parties. Every event is quoted individually, with the day of the week and the times taken into account.
