About The Verandah @ Banana Bender Pub
Banana Bender Pub is a three-level pub on Downunder Drive in Palmview, just off the Bruce Highway beside Aussie World. It is known for its leaning Queenslander look, fruit-headed celebrity caricatures and memorabilia, a large deck, live music and a busy events calendar. The Verandah runs the full width of the pub's front in classic Queenslander style. It is fully enclosed and fitted out with bright, comfortable and slightly offbeat furniture, with easy access to the rest of the venue. You can take the whole verandah for up to 100 guests or book a section for a group of up to 40, so it works for anything from a small birthday drinks to a larger Christmas party. The pub lists it for birthdays, Christmas parties, social groups, networking and launches. Room hire covers up to four hours. A section of the verandah costs $100 and the whole space $200. Function food runs from morning tea and share platters through canapés, fork-and-walk dishes and buffets to plated two- and three-course menus. Drinks can be set up as a bar tab, a pre-paid standard or premium package, or a cash bar where guests buy their own. To book, send an enquiry with your date, start time, numbers and preferred menu and drinks option, and the functions team will come back to you.
