About Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club

Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club sits right on the Noosa River in Noosaville, with a bistro, a bar and a covered deck facing the water. Its functions team runs private events on the deck and, for bigger groups, across the whole riverside bistro. The deck is set aside as a private area for your group. It is open to the river breeze, with ceiling fans or heating depending on the weather, and dimmable lighting for evening events. Capacity on the deck is 70 guests for a canapé party and 40 for a seated meal. Hosts can hire the full riverside bistro when the guest list outgrows the deck. There are three function menus. The canapé menu lets you choose six items, the alternate-drop dinner runs to three courses, and the tasting menu serves ten courses that can be adjusted to suit. The kitchen handles most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free. The bar pours a curated wine list and a long run of tap beers. You can set a bar tab before the day and top it up during the event, or let guests buy their own drinks. Bluetooth speakers let you play your own music, and there is room for live entertainment plus a microphone for speeches. The club hosts weddings, milestone birthdays, gala dinners, fundraisers and social events.

Pricing

Hiring the deck comes with a $2,000 minimum spend on any of the food options. If your group is small, you can pay the difference between your food order and the minimum spend.

Function menus are $60 per person for canapés, $75 per person for a three-course alternate drop and $90 per person for the ten-course tasting menu.

Food

The canapé menu lets you pick six items from a list that includes mezze boards, stuffed zucchini flowers, croquettes, mini cheeseburgers, duck wontons, rice paper rolls and bao doughnuts.

The alternate-drop dinner offers two choices at each of three courses, and the tasting menu runs to ten courses that can be changed to suit. Most dietary needs can be catered for.

Beverages

The bar offers a curated wine list and a wide range of beers on tap. Hosts can set a bar tab before the event and raise it on the day, with a credit card held at the bar, or guests can pay for their own drinks at the cash bar. All drinks are paid on the day.

Availability

The deck and the riverside bistro are booked through the club's functions team. Send an enquiry with your date, guest numbers and preferred menu to start planning.
