Birthday Party Venues in Mountain Creek

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

Two quite different birthday options share Freshwater Street at Brightwater Lake. Brightwater Hotel is a pub with three function areas suited to a relaxed group, while The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast is an events-only venue with its own chefs for a larger, more dressed-up milestone.

Choosing between the pub and the function venue for your birthday:

Brightwater Hotel's Pontoon Function Room seats 40 behind doors that close for privacy, with a wall-mounted TV and a roving microphone for speeches.
The Pontoon Deck beside it takes 50 seated or 80 for a stand-up party, and the two can be joined into one space.
For a laid-back crowd, the hotel's Pavilion Deck has string lights, picnic tables and lounges for up to 70 standing.
Canapé packages at the hotel start From $28 per person for 30 or more guests, and each share platter feeds eight to ten.
The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast suits a big milestone, with a room seating up to 180 or 300 standing, plus a stage, lectern and 140-inch screen.

The functions team looks after gatherings from about 20 guests upward, and each space is hired for a four-hour block.
A pub classics menu with shared entrées works for seated birthday groups of 20 or more.
Drinks run on classic or premium packages of two, three or four hours, covering tap beer, wine, sparkling and soft drinks.
A minimum spend applies, so the hotel quotes once it has your date and numbers.

When the lakeside function venue is worth it

It is an events-only venue, so a 40th or 50th there is not sharing the floor with a public bar.
Food is cooked by the venue's own kitchen, and outside caterers are not allowed.
Music is limited to a DJ or two live musicians, which is worth knowing before you plan a band.
Minimum guest numbers apply, so ask for the figure early if your list is modest.
