About Sam Bannink
Sam Bannink is a full-time singer and multi-instrumentalist based on the Sunshine Coast, booked for weddings and private functions. He has played wedding receptions and Australian music festivals, and his song choices span folk, rock, country, pop, reggae, RnB and power ballads. On stage he works alone but sounds fuller than a single act. A Maton semi-acoustic guitar and a Greco electric sit alongside a Nord Stage keyboard with drum samples, pianos, synths and organs, and a Boss RC-600 looper lets him build songs in layers. His set list draws on artists from U2, Cold Chisel and Queen to John Mayer, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Ed Sheeran and Luke Combs. Three wedding packages are published. Ceremony and Canapés covers up to four hours of live music through the ceremony and the photo break. Reception and DJ runs up to six hours, from welcome music and dinner sets through speeches, the cake cutting and first dance into a dance-floor set. The Peace of Mind package covers the whole day, from pre-ceremony music to the last song, and adds a lighting rig, a wireless microphone for speeches and a smoke machine; Sam can also act as MC at no extra charge. His sound system is rated at 6,000 watts with a subwoofer, and lasers, strobes and fog give the dance floor a show-style look once the formalities finish.
