About Theunis Music

Theunis Music is the acoustic act of Theunis – pronounced 'Teea-nis', though most people call him T – a singer and guitarist based on the Sunshine Coast. Born in South Africa, he has been on stage singing and playing guitar since he was 15 and brings more than 15 years of live experience to weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. For weddings there are three packages. The ceremony package is an hour of music covering guest arrivals, the walk down the aisle, the registry signing and the move to canapés. The celebration package gives three to four hours, split between the ceremony and pre-dinner drinks or between drinks and the reception. The complete package runs for six hours from the ceremony through to reception background music. A female vocalist can be added for harmonies, and live drums and percussion can join for extra groove. Corporate functions such as conferences, networking evenings and product launches are quoted individually, with sets kept subtle while guests mingle and lifted as the night builds. Every booking includes professional sound, background music between sets and a microphone for speeches that the celebrant and MC can use at no extra cost. Theunis arrives one to two hours early to set up and sound check, handles pack-down and holds public liability insurance.
