About Adiamus String Quartet
Adiamus String Quartet is a professional string ensemble playing violins, viola and cello at weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. The group performs regularly at Sunshine Coast venues, from the hinterland chapels of Montville and Maleny to Noosa, and can be booked as a full quartet, a trio or a duo to suit the venue and budget. The repertoire moves between classical and contemporary music, including tangos, pop and rock songs arranged for strings and pieces with a period-drama feel. For a wedding, couples choose a processional, two pieces for the signing of the registry (one as a backup) and a recessional, and the group fills the time before and after the ceremony. If a song is not in the repertoire, an arrangement can be sourced and its cost added to the final balance. A standard booking is three hours of playing over three and a half hours on site, with a short break, which usually covers pre-ceremony music, the ceremony and the drinks reception. Longer times can be arranged. For corporate events the group can draft a run sheet around set blocks in your program and liaise with organisers on the day. The musicians are a core group with a small pool of regular deputies, each with their own public liability insurance. They ask for four armless chairs and shade on the day.

How long does Adiamus String Quartet play for?
The standard booking is three hours of music over three and a half hours on site, with a short break. That usually covers pre-ceremony music, the ceremony and the drinks reception.

Yes, provided a string quartet arrangement exists. The group sources it for you and the cost of buying the music is added to your final balance.
What does Adiamus need at the venue?
Four armless chairs and shade or cover to protect the players and their instruments. Each musician carries their own public liability insurance.
Does Adiamus play events other than weddings?
Yes. The group plays engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, corporate events, Christmas gatherings, cocktail and garden parties, fundraisers and grand openings.
