Front Runner AV & Event Production is a Perth audio, lighting and vision company working from a warehouse in O'Connor. It runs production for live events and also hires equipment to the local community, so the same gear used on concert stages can be picked up for a party. The hire store covers simple PA systems with a microphone, packages with wireless mics and AUX leads, and bigger set-ups built on 12-inch tops and 18-inch subwoofers with amplifiers and speaker management. Microphones from Shure, Sennheiser and Audix, analogue and digital mixers, and Pioneer CDJ and DJM deck packages are listed too. For atmosphere there are 50-metre and 100-metre festoon lighting packages with bamboo poles, vintage LED teardrop festoons, a case of eight battery-powered LED up-lights and an LED party lighting package. Vision gear includes a full-HD projector with portable screen, larger screens that clamp to truss, and staging. Equipment is collected from and returned to the O'Connor warehouse on Mondays and Fridays. For bigger events the team can design, supply and install a complete system and handle set-up and pack-down, and its photos show crews running sound and lighting for outdoor concerts, big-band shows and club gigs.

Pioneer deck packages are available – two CDJ 2000 Nexus players with a DJM 900NXS mixer for $270, or two CDJ 3000 players with the same mixer for $490 – plus individual decks and mixers.
Can the team set everything up for a larger event?
Yes. Beyond dry hire, Front Runner designs, supplies and installs sound, lighting and vision systems, with set-up and pack-down for events and long-term equipment leases for venues and schools.
