About Mix and Vibe DJs
Mix and Vibe DJs is a mobile DJ team run from Fremantle by founder and lead DJ Davut Karaman. He started out in 2012 as Probeat DJs and later brought the DJ side together with a cocktail bar service under the Mix and Vibe name. The roster includes DJs with backgrounds in house, drum and bass, R&B and hip hop, along with DJs who focus on teen parties and school balls. For weddings, a DJ from the team plays the music and also acts as MC, calling entrances, toasts and the move from dinner to dancing. Couples work through a planning session in person or by video to set a must-play list, a do-not-play list and a timeline, and the DJ adjusts volume and energy as the evening goes on. Birthday bookings cover milestones such as 18ths, 21sts, 30ths and 40ths, as well as backyard parties and hired halls. Sets are shaped to the age of the crowd, with room for shout-outs, cake-time announcements and requests. For schools, the team runs primary discos with games and high school formals and graduation balls with vetted, clean playlists, and DJs hold working with children checks. The team plays venues across Perth, from Kings Park and Elizabeth Quay to Swan Valley estates, Fremantle heritage halls, Scarborough Beach and community halls in Hamilton Hill and Bibra Lake. A mobile cocktail bar with bartenders can be booked alongside the DJ for the same event.
