About Journeys of Love
Journeys of Love is run by Lesley Meinema, an authorised marriage celebrant based in Perth who has married hundreds of couples around the metro area, from small Swan Valley elopements to large weddings in the northern suburbs. Her ceremonies aim to be warm, inclusive and relaxed, with some laughter alongside the emotional moments. She belongs to the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and supports marriage equality. A background in business management shows in the process. After a first meeting to see if the couple and celebrant click, Lesley gathers the love story, guides the legal steps including the notice of intended marriage, sends a draft ceremony to refine and prints personalised vow cards. After the wedding she sends what is needed to apply for the official marriage certificate, a copy of the ceremony and advice on changing names. Ceremony packages run from a legal-only elopement with up to 10 guests, held in her garden or at your location, through Low-Key, Laid-Back and Lavish-Luxe ceremonies. The fuller packages include a PA system for music and vows, a rehearsal and travel within a set distance of her home. She also styles ceremonies. Silver, Gold and Platinum packages supply a flower crescent or wooden arbour, a signing table with chairs and décor, between 24 and 40 white Americana chairs and aisle styling, with set-up and pack-down. An all-inclusive package pairs a Low-Key ceremony with Silver styling, arbour flowers, two bouquets and two buttonholes.

What does the legal-only elopement include?
The legal requirements are completed at Lesley's home, followed by a short, simple ceremony at least a month later, with signing of all documents and up to 10 guests. It is $600 at her home or from $700 at your location.
What do the ceremony packages cost?
Low-Key is $800, Laid-Back is $900 and Lavish-Luxe is $1,200. Each covers the legal paperwork and a PA system; Laid-Back and Lavish-Luxe include a rehearsal and travel within 100 km of Lesley's home.
Can Lesley style the ceremony as well?
Yes. Silver ($650), Gold ($850) and Platinum ($1,100) styling packages include an arbour, a signing table with chairs and décor, Americana chairs and aisle styling, with set-up and pack-down.
Is there an all-in-one package?
The Modern Love package at $1,800 combines a Low-Key ceremony script with Silver styling, artificial arbour flowers, two bouquets and two buttonholes, set up at your chosen location.
When must the notice of intended marriage be lodged?
It must be lodged with the celebrant at least one month before the wedding and up to 18 months before the date, with original ID and proof of birth sighted.
