About Roccella East Melbourne
Roccella East Melbourne is an all-day Italian restaurant on Clarendon Street, facing the Fitzroy Gardens. It opens for breakfast and runs through to dinner seven days, with wood-fired sourdough pizza, handmade pasta and dishes from southern Italy. There are three private event spaces. The East Melbourne Room has its own entrance and takes 100 seated or 120 standing, La Cantina seats 60 or stands 80 with an optional view into the open kitchen, and The Clarendon Room suits 20 seated or 30 standing. Each room works on a minimum spend that covers food and drinks. The Clarendon Room starts at $1,000 early in the week, La Cantina at $2,000 and The East Melbourne Room at $3,500, with higher figures from Thursday to Sunday and on public holidays. Seated event menus run from $75 to $125 per person, opening with shared antipasti and arancini or lamb croquettes before pasta, mains and shared desserts. Stand-up cocktail menus are $75 for six items or $95 for eight, and a grazing station, pasta or pizza can be added. The kitchen is accredited by Coeliac Australia and every dish except some breakfast items can be made gluten free. Drinks run as two or three-hour packages or on consumption, and acoustic acts or singers can be arranged with the functions manager.
