About Surfers Parasailing
Surfers Parasailing is a small family business flying guests above the Broadwater from a base at Paradise Point. Its crew has more than 20 years of experience, and the flights lift you to 350 feet for wide views of the Surfers Paradise skyline, the coast and the hinterland. The boat takes up to 10 people, and everyone takes turns going up alone, in a pair or as a trio. Each flight gives you about 10 minutes in the air within a trip of one to 1.5 hours on the water. A winch handles take-off and landing from the deck, so you stay dry unless you ask the captain for a foot dip. The group side covers corporate team days, incentive trips, bucks parties and sports club season enders, with the crew helping to plan around your numbers. Combo packages add a jet ski tour for anyone wanting more speed, and barbecues overlooking the water suit a group meal once you are back on land. Send an enquiry with your numbers and preferred date to start planning the day together.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can fly together?
Flights take one, two or three people at a time, at the captain's discretion based on weight and wind. The boat carries up to 10 people, with everyone taking turns in the air.
What are the age and weight limits?
The minimum age is 8, and under-18s need a parent or guardian aboard to sign the waiver for them. Combined weight on a flight cannot exceed 200 kg, and the captain may lower that in strong wind.
How long does the whole trip take?
Allow one to 1.5 hours on the water, which covers the safety briefing, harnessing and waiting while others fly. Your own time in the air is about 10 minutes.
Can friends come along without flying?
Non-flying observers can join for $50 when seats are free, though flyers always get priority. It pays to ask about observer space when you enquire about your group.
Is parasailing suitable for everyone?
It is not suitable during pregnancy, and the operator advises against riding with neck, back, shoulder or heart conditions. All flyers must understand English well enough to follow the safety instructions.
