About Surfers Jetski Tours
Surfers Jetski Tours is a small family business running guided jet ski trips from Paradise Point, at the northern end of the Broadwater. The guides have more than 20 years on the water, and nobody in your group needs a jet ski licence to take part. Tours start with a 15-minute intro ride and a 30-minute river run, which suit first-timers or a crew short on time. The one-hour island run covers more ground at speed, while the 1.5-hour and two-hour tours pass the Sovereign Islands and stop at Tipplers on South Stradbroke Island for a break. Each ski can carry one rider, or two sharing up to a combined 200 kg. Groups are a big part of the business, from bucks and hens parties to sports clubs wrapping up a season and work teams chasing a change of scene. The crew can shape a corporate outing around friendly jet ski challenges, and a combo package adds a tandem parasailing flight for anyone keen. Does anyone in our group need a jet ski licence?
No licence is needed for these tours. Every rider sits through a safety briefing and completes a short test and a liability waiver before heading out with the guide.
How old do riders need to be?
Passengers must be at least 12. Riders aged 16 and 17 can drive alone with a parent or guardian's signature, and you must be 18 or over to carry a passenger.
How long are the tours, and how early should we arrive?
Tours run for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, one hour, 1.5 hours or two hours. Check in 30 minutes before departure so there is time for the briefing and jacket fitting.
Can we add parasailing or have a barbecue afterwards?
Yes. Combo packages pair a tandem parasailing flight with a jet ski tour, from $290 for two people on one ski. Barbecues overlooking the water are also available to groups.
What should the group wear and bring?
Wear something comfortable that can get wet, and bring sunscreen and a change of dry clothes. Sunglasses need a strap, and valuables are better left behind as they are your own responsibility.
