About Waterside Events
Waterside Events is the functions arm of Currumbin RSL, on Duringan Street beside Currumbin Creek. The rooms sit on the first floor, so most of them look straight out over the water. The main space is the Waterside Event Room, which seats or stands up to 400 people with complete privacy. It comes with a dance floor, a bar for your group alone and a long balcony facing the estuary. That room divides into three: the Valleyside, Creekside and Beachside rooms. Each can run alone for a smaller party or meeting, and the Beachside has a balcony of its own. Two smaller options suit tighter groups. The Spirit Den is a hidden bar in the style of a 1920s speakeasy, holding up to 30 for cocktail parties, birthdays and Christmas drinks, while The Cove is a private room with access to a grassy stretch beside the creek. Food ranges from cocktail bites and finger food to buffets and a la carte menus, with vegetarian and vegan choices in the party packages. Every event is given a party executive, who works with the organiser and keeps the day on track. The venue caters for birthdays, engagement parties, reunions, baby showers and Christmas parties, along with weddings and corporate days. School formals, graduations and presentation nights have dedicated packages that cover venue hire, a set menu and a DJ.

How many guests can Waterside Events hold?
The full Waterside Event Room takes up to 400 people. It can be split into the Valleyside, Creekside and Beachside rooms for smaller numbers, and the Spirit Den suits up to 30.
What do the party packages include?
The two celebration packages cover cocktail-style room setup, your choice of four menu items, table centrepieces and five hours of room hire. A bar tab is included, and a dance floor is available.
Is there an outdoor area for guests?
Yes. The main room has a private balcony over the upper Currumbin Estuary, and The Cove gives you access to a large grass area beside Currumbin Creek.
Does the venue host school formals?
Yes, school formals, graduations and presentation nights are all catered for. Their packages include venue hire, a set menu and a DJ, so send an enquiry with your numbers and date.
Is the room set up for presentations?
The function rooms have free wifi and AV equipment, and the Beachside and The Cove are both fitted out for seminars. Celebration of life packages also include a data projector, screen, lectern and microphone.
