About VIKA Events
VIKA Events is a beachfront function venue at 766 Pacific Parade, Currumbin. It occupies the surf life saving club's junior activities and community centre, the building that also houses the club's Nippers program. Money made from hiring the rooms goes to the club's programs and operations. A booking here therefore also supports lifesaving on the local beach. Two rooms can be hired. Beachside is the larger, with ocean views, and takes 100 standing or 80 seated, while the Boardroom holds 40 standing or 30 seated. Book both together and the venue fits 150 standing or 125 seated. That combination lets a group move between a networking session in one room and a workshop in the other. Staff arrange the seating, décor and layout around each event, whether that means theatre rows, a U-shape or long tables. Projectors, screens, sound and microphones are on hand for presentations. Catering comes from the venue's own team, with meals, refreshments and snacks shaped around dietary needs, and Kinship, the café downstairs, is part of the same building. An event coordinator looks after planning and setup, then manages things on site on the day.
