About Shambala Estate
Shambala Estate is a private garden venue on Beacon Road at Tamborine Mountain, spread over five acres of lawns, fountains and tropical planting. It is built around weddings, and its team has been hosting them for more than 20 years. Ceremonies can take place in four settings. The Chapel is a large non-denominational building with a covered portico, the Gazebo sits in open garden, and the Atrium and Waterfall Grotto offer a courtyard and a sheltered rock setting. The Galaxy Ballroom is the main reception room, seating 150 or holding 300 standing and 200 theatre style. Inside you get chandeliers, a galaxy-light ceiling, a light-up dance floor, a stage, a fireplace, a bar and a DJ and PA system. The room also takes corporate events and retreats. The Waterfall Pavilion is smaller, at 60 seated or 100 standing. Many of its sides open in good weather, and it can host either a full reception or drinks before dinner in the ballroom. Catering comes through the estate's partner, In Season Catering, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. The venue is licensed and supplies all the drinks, so BYO is not available. Five coordinators work together on each wedding and run the timing on the day. Four cottages in the gardens can sleep the couple and close family, by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Shambala Estate hold?
The Galaxy Ballroom seats 150 or holds 300 standing. The Waterfall Pavilion seats 60 or holds 100 standing, and minimum numbers vary by package and day.
What do weddings cost?
A ceremony-only booking for as many as 60 people starts at $3,200, bar tab included. Micro-weddings for 10 or fewer are priced from $5,500, and larger packages are quoted by space, day and numbers.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No. The estate is licensed and provides the drinks, though some packages can be upgraded with premium drinks, signature cocktails or a champagne tower.
What happens if it rains?
Indoor ceremony options are available, and the wet-weather plan is agreed before the day. The coordinators watch the forecast and handle any changes in timing.
Is the estate wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There are accessible paths, parking, drop-off areas and bathrooms. Because the gardens are large, guests with specific needs should talk to the team before they visit.
