About Grand Chameleon
Grand Chameleon is an events property on Long Road at Tamborine Mountain, in the Gold Coast hinterland. It is run by its owners and opens by appointment, for events as well as inspections. The hireable spaces include The Old Church, the Grand Chameleon Reception Centre, the Iron Courtyard, a gazebo and verandahs. Around them are maintained gardens, lawns and pools, and vows can be taken under the tall trees. Dry hire is the main wedding option. You get the facilities to yourselves and arrange the catering, drinks, decorations and running of the day, and the venue can point you towards trusted suppliers. There are no rules on which vendors you use. For something simpler, Weddings Made Easy adds straightforward food and drinks in a space sized to your guest list, either cocktail style or bespoke. Ceremony and reception can share one area or use two. Elopements are a separate offer. One package covers just the two of you in the gardens for an hour, while the other adds an arbour and 20 Tiffany chairs, or a church ceremony for up to 15 guests. Business groups can book conference and presentation setups with round, rectangular or high tables and audiovisual equipment, then move into a dinner or cocktail evening. Family and community gatherings are also taken, and a small amount of accommodation and a 24-seat bus are on site.

How much does an elopement cost?
The garden elopement package for two starts at $550 and runs for one hour, including the ceremony and photos. The package with a few guests starts at $1,250, and weekday and weekend rates differ.
How many guests can attend a small wedding?
The small garden package suits a micro guest list of up to around 20, with 20 Tiffany chairs supplied. A ceremony in The Old Church under that package is limited to 15 guests. Numbers for larger weddings are confirmed on enquiry.
Can the ceremony and reception be in different spaces?
Yes, you can run them in two separate areas of the property or keep both in one space. Options include The Old Church, the reception hall and the gardens.
Does the venue suit business events?
Yes, it takes conferences, training and presentations with audiovisual equipment and a choice of table setups. An event can finish with dinner or cocktails through a tailored food and drinks package.
