About Rosewood Estate
Rosewood Estate is a private wedding property on Beechmont Road, covering 80 acres at about 600 metres on the western side of the Lamington Plateau. The grounds fall away to the Numinbah Valley, and Hinze Dam sits below the ridge. Guests arrive along a gravel drive under remnant rainforest. Three ceremony sites each look a different way: Valley View, Coastal View and the Garden, which is the sheltered choice under established trees. Receptions happen in a semi-permanent marquee of 10 by 25 metres with glass walls whatever the season. Its roof panels are see-through between April and October, then white through the warmer months, and it grows to 10 by 30 metres once numbers pass 150. The estate does not run a kitchen or a bar. You appoint a licensed caterer of your choosing, whether that means long shared tables or a favourite food van. You also buy the alcohol yourself, corkage free, and RSA-qualified staff pour it. Between the ceremony and dinner, people gather on the deck and gravel at the front of the marquee for canapés. After dark the firepit on the lawn gets going, with a night's firewood supplied. Access for suppliers opens at 8am, the event runs from 1pm, the music stops at 11pm and everyone is gone by 11.30pm. Each wedding needs a coordinator, whom you engage yourself.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can Rosewood Estate hold?
Up to 200, seated or cocktail style, and there is no minimum. The twin bathrooms suit 120 guests, so larger weddings hire extra portable bathrooms.
Do we have to use a house caterer?
No. There is no in-house kitchen, so you can engage any licensed caterer. The estate keeps a list of suppliers who already know the property.
How do drinks work?
Everything is BYO, with neither a corkage charge nor a spend to meet. RSA-qualified staff must do the pouring, and a large cold room behind the marquee keeps it chilled.
What is the plan if it rains?
Wet-weather ceremonies shift into the reception marquee, or into a second one put up on the lawn or gravel in front. The call can wait until the morning itself.
What time does the night finish?
Music ends at 11pm and guests must be off the property by 11.30pm, whichever night you marry. A pre-booked bus is the easy way to get everyone home.
