About Cowbell Creek
Cowbell Creek is a family farm in Austinville, in the Gold Coast hinterland, that has been worked since 1947. It runs only as a wedding venue, with 200 private acres of hills, creeks and rainforest, and Highland cattle grazing around the buildings. There are three places to hold the ceremony: a weatherproof open-air chapel, a giant fig tree on the hilltop and a verandah beside the creek. Your choice can depend on numbers and the look you want, and the property is set up to cover rain, cold and heat all day. Receptions take place in a barn designed by an architect, for 50 to 110 guests. Soaring ceilings and fireplaces set the mood, with farmhouse tables for dinner, wine barrels for cocktail settings and separate zones for dancing. Between the ceremony and the reception, guests can enjoy a garden party with a full bar, croquet, bocce and a horse float photo booth. They can also help feed the cattle while you head off for portraits in an air-conditioned buggy. Catering comes from a list of trusted suppliers, in styles from pizza to fine dining. Every package includes a $1,500 bar tab, which you can top up or switch to a cash bar once spent. A wedding planner stays with you from the first enquiry through to the day itself, and the styling team handles set-up and pack down. A 43-seat bus and a bride's preparation cottage are also included.
