About Kurrawa Surf Club Beachfront Functions
Kurrawa Surf Club is a community club on Old Burleigh Road at Broadbeach, right on the beach. Its functions team runs the Beachfront room on Level 2, on the club's rooftop, which you can hire for private events. The room has floor-to-ceiling glass, plenty of daylight and a private bar, and a wrap-around balcony looks along Kurrawa Beach. It can be split in two for smaller meetings. Capacity is 120 for cocktails, 84 for a banquet and 80 for cabaret, or 70 for a banquet with a dance floor. Corporate layouts also include theatre for 90 and classroom for 40. The club is fully catered, so there is no BYO food or drink. Parties can order cold and hot platters, walk-around small bites, a grazing table or buffets from one to three hot items, and vegan and gluten-free options are available. Drinks run through beverage packages or a custom bar tab, and the private bar closes 30 minutes before the finish. Events get the room for five hours, up to 11.30pm at the latest, with music ending at 11pm. A security guard is required for all parties under club policy, and is charged in addition to room hire. Room hire covers table linen and the ceiling fairy lights, and lawn games and balcony heaters can be added.

Wedding venue hire is $1,900 from Monday to Thursday, $2,100 on Fridays, $2,350 on Saturdays and $2,200 on Sundays, for five hours. Cocktail food packages for weddings start at $49.50 per person with a minimum of 50 guests.
Buffets start at $59.90 per person. A deposit of $400 or $600 applies, depending on how far ahead you book.
Food
Buffets cover one to three hot items with salads and sides, and seafood and dessert selections can be added. Advise dietary needs 14 days before the event.

How much is room hire?
For celebrations, room hire starts at $715 from Monday to Wednesday, rising to $1,100 on Saturdays. Wedding venue hire is priced separately, from $1,900 from Monday to Thursday.
Do we need to pay for security?
Yes, club policy requires a security guard at all parties, at your cost. The charge is $335 from Monday to Thursday, $360 on Fridays and Saturdays, and $400 on Sundays.
Can we hold our wedding ceremony here?
Yes, the private balcony can host a ceremony for a $500 hire fee covering two hours. A beach ceremony nearby needs its own permit from the City of Gold Coast.
How late can a function run?
Events have the room for five hours, finishing by 11.30pm. Music and entertainment must stop at 11pm, and the bar closes 30 minutes before the end of your event.
