About Dog & Parrot Tavern
Dog & Parrot Tavern is a local pub on Scottsdale Drive in Robina, sitting just off the Robina Parkway with plenty of parking. Alongside the bistro and sports bar, it runs a dedicated function offer for birthdays, engagements, Christmas parties and work get-togethers. The main space is the Private Function Room, which takes 150 to 200 guests with canapés according to the functions page, or 100 to 150 for a sit-down meal. A section of the room can be booked instead when the group is smaller. The Outside Bistro, including the Bistro Deck, gives guests indoor and outdoor areas to move between and holds 55 to 75 for canapés or 50 to 60 seated. The Terrace suits 40 to 50 with canapés or 25 to 30 at a set menu, and dry bars and stools can be added on request for a canapé event. Food runs from shared platters, grazing boards and wood-fired pizzas to canapé packages from $27 per person and plated set menus at $48 for two courses or $60 for three. Dietary needs are handled by the kitchen, and a celebration cake can be brought in with prior notice. Drinks can be set up as a bar tab, with wristbands and a capped dollar amount, or as a cash bar. The in-house jukebox system covers music, and any outside entertainment needs the venue's approval first. Birthday functions are for guests turning 21 or older, and under 18s must have a parent or guardian with them and leave by 10pm. Platters serving eight to ten people range from $80 to $180. Half of the quoted hire fee secures your date, and the balance is due seven days before the function.
A 25% surcharge applies on public holidays and a 10% surcharge applies to table service. Minimum spends vary by area, so ask the functions manager for the figure.
Food
Set menus offer calamari or arancini to start, mains such as rump steak, lamb shank, salmon or vegetarian gnocchi, and pavlova or brownie to finish. The kitchen caters for dietary needs when asked.

Is there an age limit for birthday functions?
Yes. The tavern only hosts birthdays and celebrations for people aged 21 and over, and photo ID may be requested. Under 18s attending must be with a parent or guardian and leave by 10pm.
Can we bring our own food, cake or entertainment?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed, although a celebration cake is fine with prior notice to the function coordinator. Your own entertainment needs management approval beforehand and has to stay within the licensing limits on noise.
