About The Currumbin Celebrant
The Currumbin Celebrant is Bec Gavin, a marriage celebrant based at Currumbin Waters on the southern Gold Coast. After attending more than 20 weddings as a guest, she decided ceremonies could carry more life and laughter. There are no repeat scripts, and the style can lean traditional, modern or somewhere between. Four options cover most plans. Legals Only runs for about five to ten minutes and focuses on the vows and forms the law requires, with an introductory chat first. The Intimate Ceremony suits a guest list of about 30, with some give in that number. It brings a consultation, a short crafted introduction, a meeting before the day, a full rehearsal, a Bose PA and the legal side of things. The Bespoke Package gives your story the most room. Questionnaires and a consultation feed a personal script, and Bec adds vow-writing guidance with two revisions. She also looks over the venue and its entrances, then runs a rehearsal and supplies a PA and the legal paperwork. Ceremony + MC keeps Bec with you into the reception, where she can run the welcome, introductions, speeches, toasts and moments such as the first dance. Standalone reception hosting is available too. Agree on hours, equipment and the run sheet before you book, and send an enquiry with your date and location to talk it through.

Which ceremony option suits a small wedding?
The Intimate Ceremony is planned around 30 guests, though the number can flex. If you only want the legal essentials, Legals Only runs for about five to ten minutes.
What comes with the Bespoke Package?
You get a consultation and questionnaires, a script about you both, help with vows across two revisions, a look over the venue, a rehearsal, a PA and legal paperwork. Confirm final inclusions when you enquire.
Can Bec host our reception as well?
Yes. Ceremony + MC runs on into the guest welcome, introductions, speeches and key moments. Bec also accepts reception hosting bookings by themselves if you already have a celebrant.
How much notice does a wedding need?
Your Notice of Intended Marriage generally has to be with the celebrant a month or more before the wedding, and within 18 months of it, even for a short ceremony.
Does she supply sound equipment?
The Intimate and Bespoke packages list a PA. For reception hosting, check who brings the sound gear and who plays the music, because Bec does not act as your DJ.
